#68 Use Check Names in Outlook to Automatically Find Email Addresses

If you found tip #66 on using Outlook to find phone numbers helpful, you’ll love this one. The same built-in address book can be used to automatically fill out email addresses in your emails. The next time you’re sending an email to someone new in the building, try using Check Names to automatically find their email address.

Using Check Names is easy! Just type the person’s name you’d like to email in the To: field and click the Check Names button. Check Names even works when you just enter someone’s first or last name. The only requirement is that they have a Penn Law email address or exist in your personal Outlook address book.

Bonus Tip: You can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + K to look addresses up even faster.
