#137 Save Battery Life on your Smartphone or Laptop

November 15, 2012

Hopefully you found Monday’s tip on using power management settings to lengthen your battery life helpful. Today’s tip goes a little deeper and takes a look at some simple changes you can take to improve battery life even more.

Lower your screen brightness: Most of the energy use on your devices comes from the display. Try turning down the brightness level, you may be surprised at how big of a difference it makes.

Turn off WiFi and Bluetooth: When you’re not using them, disable WiFi and bluetooth radios. These features drain the battery, even when not in use.
