The best way to maximize your success at a job fair is to do as much preparation as you can beforehand. Think about what questions you want to ask the representatives of each employer. Print out copies of your resume and your other application materials so you can bring them with you to the event.
You also want to be sure to conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times. You never know the person you cross paths with in the lobby or hold the elevator for could be conducting your next job interview.
Make sure to ask for business cards from everybody that you speak with. This will allow you to keep track of who you talk to. It will also allow you to continue those conversations and really build up your network.
Use the job fair as an opportunity to learn more about the industries and specific employers that are of interest to you and to make connections at those organizations, so that you can be a successful candidate.
