Penn is distinct in offering the rare blend of an inviting University campus in the heart of a great city. World-leading graduate and professional schools are within easy walking distance of the Law School, all situated in an historic Ivy League campus noted for its green space and stately architecture.
The Anne & Jerome Fisher Fine Arts Library, also known as Furness Library, is located on the east side of College Green. Designed by the acclaimed Philadelphia architect Frank Furness (1839-1912), the red sandstone, brick and terra cotta Venetian Gothic giant – part fortress and part cathedral – was built to be the primary library of the University, and to house its archeological collection. It is also a favorite study location for Penn Law students.
