Women, Law, and Leadership Class Marks the Global Campaign for Activism Against Gender Based Violence

Join Rangita de Silva de Alwis’ class on ‘Women, Law, and Leadership’ to mark the 30th Anniversary of the Global Campaign: 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. A panel of global student voices will share insights from our own community:• Carolina Brandão (Brazil)• Shuxin Fang (China)• Rith Tshimanga (Democratic Republic of Congo)• Juni Solbraekke (Norway)  • Noor Irshaidat (Jordan) Panel will be followed by a special guest (Zoom) appearance by: Naheed Farid, Member of Parliament, Afghanistan in conversation with: Professor Rangita de Silva de Alwis (adviser to the drafting of the Afghan Elimination of Violence Against Women Law, 2009). While the program begins at 12:30pm, all in-person attendees are invited to pick-up a pre-event lunch at 12pm.
