The 2021 Higginbotham Lecture marks the start of a series of events celebrating the life and legacy of the Honorable A. Leon Higginbotham, Jr., American civil rights advocate, author, and judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. The celebration will culminate in June 2022 with the unveiling of a mural created in Judge Higginbotham’s honor by the Philadelphia Mural Arts Project.
