The How and Why of Fairness Opinion Committee Practice
This program will delve into the role of the fairness opinion committee and the issues typically encountered in connection with the work of that committee. Examples include how the committee is constituted, when the committee should function (and when it shouldn’t or doesn’t), the role of the committee in promoting consistency across valuations, and communication with and disclosure to the client’s board of directors regarding projections, assumptions, and valuation methodologies.
