Research Support
Biddle Law Library provides an extensive array of research support services to Penn Law faculty, students, and staff as well as services to the university community. Assistance with government documents research is also provided to members of the public through the Federal Depository Library Program. Our reference librarians are your partners in legal education and research.
Ask A Librarian Service: Email or chat online with a reference librarian. Our chat service is typically available between 9am-4:30pm. You can also email questions to askbiddle@law.upenn.edu or request a Zoom appointment
Research Guides: Need to get started with your research? Research guides provide information on different areas of legal research and recommend print and electronic resources.
Accessing E-Resources: This guide provides instructions for how to log into electronic resources when you are not on a networked computer. If you experience an issue, you can also request assistance.
Register for Accounts: To access most of Biddle’s digital collection, you will use your Pennkey; however, for some resources, you need to create an account. This page provides registration instructions for Lexis, Bloomberg Law, Westlaw, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and other electronic resources.
