Computer Sleep Energy Reduction Program
ITS is configuring power settings for office computers to reduce energy consumption by putting it to sleep after a period of inactivity.
Under this energy efficient policy, your computer will be scheduled to go to sleep after 2 hours of inactivity and wake up every morning at 7:30am.
If your power light is blinking, then your computer is asleep. To wake it up, either wiggle the mouse, press some keys on the keyboard, or quickly press the power button once.
What if I need to access my computer remotely?
If you need to access your computer after it has gone to sleep, you can wake it up by going to https://wakeup.law.upenn.edu and clicking the green button.
