Connecting Laptops to AirPennNet

Windows 

  1. Select the network called AirPennNet-Help and click Connect.Windows JoinNow
  2. Open up a web browser (Firefox, Chrome, etc.) and navigate to http://www.upenn.edu  (be sure to use http://).
  3. You will be re-directed to the SecureW2 JoinNow page.
  4. Make sure the operating system listed is correct and click JoinNow to download the Secure W2 app.
  5. Run the Secure W2 app once it has downloaded. 
  6. The JoinNow wizard will open prompting you for your PennKey and Password.
  7. Enter your PennKey and Password and click Next.
  8. After your credentials have been authenticated you will be automatically set to AirPennNet.
  9. Once you are connected, you will receive the message “Joined”. Click Done.

 

 

Mac

  1. Select the network called AirPennNet-Help.Mac OS JoinNow Screen
  2. Open up a web browser (Safari, Chrome, etc.) and navigate to http://www.upenn.edu  (be sure to use http://).
  3. You will be re-directed to the SecureW2 JoinNow page.
  4. Verify your version of MacOS and click on the JoinNow button to download the SecureW2 app.
  5. Run the SecureW2 application after it has downloaded then enter your PennKey and Password. Click Continue.
  6. Enter your Computer Admin Account & Password.
  7. When you are finished, you will be automatically connected to AirPennNet and prompted with the message “Joined.”
