Connecting Laptops to AirPennNet

Windows 8/10

  1. Click on the Network icon in your toolbar and select AirPennNet
  2. Check Connect Automatically and then click Connect and enter your Pennkey username and password

Windows (prior to 8/10)

  1. Select the network called AirPennNet-Help and click Connect.
  2. Open up a web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.) and navigate to upenn.edu.
  3. The wizard will open up in a web browser. Click the checkbox to accept the terms of the Acceptable Use Policy and click Start.
  4. Follow the prompts to install XpressConnect.
  5. The XpressConnect wizard will open. Select Student and click Continue.
  6. Enter your PennKey and Password. Also, select the checkbox next to Automatically submit credentials to save them for future use. Click Next.
  7. After your credentials have been authenticated, select the network called AirPennNet and click Connect.
  8. Once you are connected, you will receive the message “Successfully connected”. Click Done.

Mac

  1. Select the network called AirPennNet-Help.
  2. Open up a web browser (Safari, Chrome, etc.) and navigate to upenn.edu.
  3. The wizard will open up in a web browser.
    Click the checkbox to accept the terms of the Acceptable Use Policy and click Start.

    If you have updated to High Sierra, choose the manual download option for Apple iPhone, iPad etc and follow instructions there

  4. The XpressConnect wizard will open. Select Student and click Continue.
  5. Enter your PennKey and Password. Click Continue.
  6. Enter your Computer Admin Account & Password.
  7. When you are finished, you will be prompted with the message “Successfully Connected”. You are now connected to AirPennNet.
