Welcome Visiting Faculty & Adjuncts
The Law School Information Technology Services (ITS) department welcomes you to Penn Law. We have a broad range of computing, media, and network resources available. This page is intended to provide you with the technical information to get started.
Your Accounts at Penn Law: LawKey & PennKey
LawKey and PennKey are the computing logins used at the Law School. LawKey is used to access the classroom computers and some Penn Law web resources. PennKey is used to access myCourses/Canvas LMS, the wireless network and library databases (among other University resources). Both usernames are the same, but they need to be activated separately and we recommend you pick different passwords for each.
You should have received an activation link and activation code from ITS. Once your computing logins have been created and activated, you may access the following resources.
Canvas has great features for posting course materials, communicating and interacting with your students and providing class and student calendars. You can also use this site to access your course photo roster, create an online seating chart, schedule appointments with students, create surveys/quizzes, and download a grading sheet.

Our classrooms are well equipped. In order to use the technology, please submit media requests via Canvas.
For more information, visit the Scheduling Recordings and Media Guide.
For assistance, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or (215) 898-9570.
If you are interested in using your personal laptop at the Law School, you will need to prepare it to connect to our network. Access to the wireless internet requires a PennKey. If you have not set yours up, please contact us at email@example.com.
Visit the Prepare Your Laptop guide to get your laptop ready.
