Access Network Drives when Offsite

Offsite access to your network drives is provided using SFTP. An SFTP client (like FileZilla) is required.

HTML web space under www.law.upenn.edu/groups/ is being phased out. But if you need to access your site, you may use FileZilla by following these instructions.

Installing FileZilla

FileZilla is our recommended SFTP software. The client can be downloaded from FileZilla’s site.

Configuring FileZilla

  1. From the File menu, choose Site Manager.
  2. Click on New Site in the bottom-left corner.
  3. Set the following settings:
    • Host: sftp.law.upenn.edu
    • Port: 22
    • Servertype: SFTP using SSH2
    • Logontype: Normal
    • User: Your LawKey
  4. Click Connect.

Once connected, you can access your group’s or journal’s files at the locations below.
