What is Skype for Business

Skype for Business is the updated version of Lync for Office 365. Skype for Business offers a fresh new look and simplified controls for connecting with co-workers through instant messaging and video conferencing. Skype for Business also enables integration with the Skype directory, allowing you to connect with other Skype users right from the Skype for Business interface.

 

How to Access Skype for Business

Skype for Business can be opened from Start menu > All Programs > Microsoft Office 2013 > Skype for Business 2013. Upon opening, you should be automatically logged into Skype for Business. If not, please login using the following convention:

  • Sign-In Address: LAWKEY@law.upenn.edu (jsmith@law.upenn.edu)
  • Password: Your LawKey password

You can have your Law Directory photo appear in Skype for Business and Outlook. To get setup, please visit our Update Your Law Directory Photo page.
