Penn Carey Law Email Address Change
As part of the law school name change, all student/alumni email addresses will transition from @pennlaw.upenn.edu to @penncareylaw.upenn.edu. This will be an incremental transition over a two year period.
As of August 1, 2022, all students and alums (who have an existing alumni email account) have an @penncareylaw.upenn.edu email address that they can receive email to. This address forwards to your existing @pennlaw.upenn.edu account.
We recommend that students/alums start transitioning to this new address now. This includes updating any third party accounts that may have been setup with your @pennlaw.upenn.edu email address (LinkedIn, etc.) as well as updating your new address in your signature, resume, etc.
IMPORTANT: this gradual transition will give current students/alums two years to transition fully to the new address. Given this generous timeline, we will not be able to extend any @pennlaw.upenn.edu addresses beyond the two-year mark. We recommend that you begin the transition now by sharing/publishing your new email address.
Inactive Accounts: To maintain security, starting in early October 2023, inactive alumni email accounts that have not been logged into within the last two years will be disabled. Accounts will not be deleted, and alums will be able to reactivate accounts if they would like by submitting our LawKey request form. Disabled accounts will continue to receive email. If you are forwarding your email to an external address, forwarding will continue to work if your account is disabled.
