Penn Law Aliases

Email aliases are virtual email addresses that forward to one or more real email addresses. At Penn Law, we make frequent use of aliases to email departments, classes, and more.

A list of All Penn Law Aliases is available in PLEAS (Penn Law Email Accounts and Settings).

View the Alias Memberships list in PLEAS to see what you are a member of.

You can email an alias by sending to ALIAS-NAME@law.upenn.edu.

Lawgroup Aliases

Create a Lawgroup Alias

You can create a custom Lawgroup Alias through PLEAS. New aliases are subject to approval and take up to 48 hours to create.

Each journal and group is allowed up to 5 aliases.

  1. Visit Lawgroup Aliases in PLEAS.
  2. Click the create a new Lawgroup alias link.

Edit Members or Owners of a Lawgroup Alias

You can edit the membership or share ownership of an alias with other members of Penn Law through the Lawgroup aliases tool.

  1. Visit Lawgroup Aliases in PLEAS.
  2. Click the View and modify this alias link next to the alias of interest.

Delete an Existing Lawgroup Alias

When you no longer need an alias, you can delete it through the Lawgroup aliases tool.

  1. Visit Lawgroup Aliases in PLEAS.
  2. Click the Delete this alias link next to the alias of interest.
