Each Fall, Penn Law hosts a dinner and debrief for recently returned summer human rights fellows attended by Dean Michael A. Fitts (second from left). Click here for photo gallery of Penn Law students working overseas.

The Law School’s International Programs Office works together with CP&P to advise students who wish to work abroad either during their summers or after law school and to administer the International Summer Human Rights Fellowship (ISHRF) and the Penn Law International Internship Programs (PLIIP), two outstanding avenues for students seeking valuable career insight and experience during law school.

Career Planning & Professionalism Office

Career Planning and Professionalism (CP&P) provides substantial and sustained support in the form of programming, resources and individual counseling to students and alumni interested in international opportunities.

This includes a dedicated Career Counselor who specializes in international opportunities and meets regularly with students, beginning in their 1L year, to help each student develop his or her individual international interests and create a job search strategy. CP&P supports students pursuing international careers with U.S. and foreign firms as well as with government, multilateral organizations and non-governmental organizations. Each year, Penn Law graduates join law firms and legal organizations around the world expanding the robust community of international attorneys.
