Nolan Shenai

Nolan Shenai is currently a Deputy General Counsel at Aurora Innovation, which is one of the global leaders in autonomous vehicle technology. At Aurora, Nolan manages critical and strategic transactions, partnerships and other commercial deals, in addition to supporting the wider business more broadly with his team.
Nolan was previously Managing Counsel at Waymo (formerly Google’s self-driving car project). At Waymo, Nolan oversaw critical and strategic elements of Waymo’s transactional and regulatory portfolio, including being lead counsel on Waymo’s multi-billion dollar Series A financing. Prior to joining Waymo, Nolan was Jaguar Land Rover’s lead global M&A and strategic partnerships lawyer, and also served as counsel to core elements of Jaguar Land Rover’s commercial, corporate, litigation, and regulatory business in North America.
Before joining Jaguar Land Rover, Nolan was in private practice in Philadelphia, where he served as external counsel, on both transactional and litigation matters, to clients primarily in the sports/entertainment and banking/finance fields. Nolan received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University. Nolan also has a M.Litt in Philosophy from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. He received his BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
He currently lives in Pittsburgh with his wife, Elizabeth, and their daughter and (four-legged) son, Meera and Ajax.
