Most recently, Kenney was an associate at Hausfeld LLP, where she represented plaintiffs in complex class action litigation of antitrust, environmental law, and civil rights matters and maintained a robust pro bono practice. She counseled victims of childhood sexual abuse by clergy in five Catholic dioceses and archdioceses, advising claimants of their rights related to compensation programs and overseeing the office’s work on the matter. Additionally, she served as a supervising attorney for students in the Federal Reentry Court Clinic, representing participants in the Supervision to Aid Reentry (STAR) Program of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. In 2019, Kenney was named a Lawyer on the Fast Track by The Legal Intelligencer.
Prior to Hausfeld, Kenney practiced for several years as a public defender, first at The Bronx Defenders and later at the Defender Association of Philadelphia. Prior to law school, she was a Tom Joe Fellow at The Center for the Study of Social Policy in Washington, D.C.
Kenney earned her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she was Co-Director of the Criminal Record Expungement Project, Co-President of the Equal Justice Foundation, and a Littleton Legal Practice Skills Fellow. She is a Harry S. Truman Scholar.
