Quattrone Center Research Fellow
Johanna Hellgren is a Quattrone Research Fellow. She recently earned a Ph.D. in Psychology and Law at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City.
Johanna’s research covers several areas within the intersection of psychology and law, such as decision making in a plea-bargaining context and the effects of confessions on lawyer recommendations. Recently, Johanna has started exploring the Alford plea and how it may impact innocent defendants’ decision-making.
Johanna’s goal is to conduct research that promotes and informs policy changes in the criminal justice system.
