Cathy Restrepo is the Assistant Dean of the Master in Law (ML) program. In that capacity, she works with current and prospective ML degree candidates, Certificate in Law candidates, and Penn students and staff seeking to take one or more classes at Penn Carey Law.
Restrepo returned to the Law School after practicing law, primarily in business, finance and tax representation. Upon graduating from the Law School at Penn in 1993, she was an associate in the Business and Finance group at Ballard Spahr in Philadelphia.
After several years, Restrepo began a series of clerkships in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, clerking for the Honorable Sandra Mazur Moss and the Honorable Eugene Edw. J. Maier. She then became an associate with the tax specialty firm Birns & Goff PC in Philadelphia. Restrepo later joined the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, where she stayed until returning to the Law School to help launch the Master in Law program in January 2014.
Restrepo is a native of Philadelphia and currently resides with her family in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania.
