Anthony Kyriakakis
Adjunct Professor of Law
In 2020 Anthony Kyriakakis was elected as a Judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Phildadelphia County. He is serving a ten year term. He received his law degree, cum laude, from Harvard Law School (2001) and received a B.A. degree, magna cum laude with honors in History, from Yale (1998). After clerking for Judge Julio M. Fuentes of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, Mr. Kyriakakis joined Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, where he handled a wide variety of litigation, including securities, shareholder derivative, intellectual property and contractual disputes.
From 2005 through 2013, Mr. Kyriakakis served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of New York (Brooklyn) and in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia), where he prosecuted more than 100 cases involving fraud, embezzlement, narcotics, child exploitation, robbery and other offenses. From 2013-14, Mr. Kyriakakis visited Princeton University’s Program in Law and Public Affairs (“LAPA”) as a “Fellow Traveler.” He also served as a Fellow at the Center for Health Law, Policy and Practice at Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he also has taught courses in sentencing law.
