• At least 70 hours of supervised legal work in a pro bono setting through the Law School’s Toll Public Interest Center

• 86 total credit hours, of which 64 credit hours are Law courses (course, seminar, or clinical coursework) and six credit hours are experiential learning (simulation/skills courses, clinics, or externships)
• Note: 71 Law credit hours are required for the New York Bar, 64 of which must be in-class credits (course, seminar, or clinical coursework)
• Note: Students in the four-year JD/MBA program may only count 12 credit hours (Law equivalent) of Wharton coursework toward the JD

Whether you are in the three-year or four-year model of the program, you must complete the JD/MBA capstone course in your final year. In a series of experiential, hands-on boot camps, you will track a company through the following transactions:

• Start-up structuring/initial capital raise
• Exit/mergers & acquisitions
• Restructuring

Faculty and guest industry leaders will advise you on various aspects of these simulated transactions, including strategy development, transaction document drafting, client/board advising, and negotiating.

The JD/MBA capstone course counts toward the Law School’s six-credit experiential learning requirement.
