Mandatory Credit/Fail grading system for the Spring 2020 semester
The University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School’s faculty voted unanimously to implement a mandatory Credit/Fail grading system for the Spring 2020 semester. In the past week faculty, staff, and student representatives considered a range of options, and the ultimate decision was driven by a recognition that we are in the midst of an extraordinary and still evolving situation, with profound disruption for many or most of our students, rendering application of our “normal” grading scale and curve inappropriate.
