The Five-Step Process
1. Call 215.898.8427
Our line is open from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
Please note that we typically only take cases at the beginning of each semester (August/September and January/February). We are unable to take on new cases during the summer months (May through August) when students are on summer break.
2. Be ready with your information
When on the phone with our intake staff, be prepared to give detailed information. Intake is only done over the phone, not in person. No legal information can be provided to you over the phone by the staff.
3. Clinic faculty reviews your case
Our Clinic faculty will carefully review the information provided and determine if they will accept your case.
Please note that only a small number of cases are able to be accepted each semester. Be patient, it can take a while.
4. Initial meeting with student attorney
A student attorney will contact you for an initial meeting to further determine if the Clinic can accept your case. Intake will close when students have as many cases as they can handle.
5. Referrals
When our intake is closed, the office staff will refer you to local legal services organizations that you may contact for assistance. Some of the larger legal services organizations in Philadelphia that may be able to assist you include:
