Samuel Silver

Sam Silver is a partner and the Chair of the Litigation Department at Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP, resident in Schnader’s Philadelphia office.  Sam is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and is listed in America’s Best Lawyers.  His practice concentrates on commercial litigation and ranges from product liability to intellectual property and even equine law.  Sam also devotes substantial efforts to pro bono matters and has handled several death penalty and other homicide cases as well as prisoner civil rights cases.  Sam is one of the two Coordinators of the Prisoner Civil Rights Panel of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Innocence Project.


Sam lectures and teaches extensively on a wide variety of litigation-related topics, including trial strategy and practice and the death penalty.



Sam is a graduate of Middlebury College and the University of Michigan Law School.
