Scott B. Connolly
Lecturer in Law
Scott B. Connolly is teaching two courses during the Spring 2013 semester – M&A Bootcamp and Securities Bootcamp – with Matthew M. McDonald. Mr. Connolly is a partner in the Corporate Group of Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP. He has represented public and private clients in a variety of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions and securities. Mr. Connolly is the Vice Chair of the firm’s Professional Development Committee and a member of the Hiring Committee for the firm’s Philadelphia office. He also is the co-chair of the firm’s First Year Associate Development Program and the partner-in-charge of the firm’s Alumni Network.
In the Spring 2012 semester, Mr. Connolly taught in the Penn Law Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic with Professor Praveen Kosuri and Mr. McDonald. During that semester, Mr. Connolly and Mr. McDonald conducted a Mergers and Acquisitions Boot Camp and a Securities Law Boot Camp through the Penn Law Center on Professionalism for Penn Law JD and LLM students. Mr. Connolly and Mr. McDonald also conducted the Mergers and Acquisitions Boot Camp during the Spring 2011 semester.
Mr. Connolly graduated from the Villanova University School of Law summa cum laude in 1998 and received a degree in finance from the University of Notre Dame in 1988. Between college and law school, Mr. Connolly held various positions in the commercial banking industry.
