Rebecca Maltzman L'11

Lecturer in Law

Rebecca Maltzman is the Director of Teacher Development Strategy for the District of Columbia Public Schools, where she leads the team responsible for revolutionizing the way the district develops its teachers.  Before this role, she served as the Managing Director of Academics at Scholar Academies where she oversaw curriculum, assessments, instructional coaching and professional development for the network of charter schools. Rebecca began her career teaching 2nd grade in Camden, New Jersey as a Teach For America corps member. She received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, magna cum laude, where she was a Toll Public Interest Scholar, and a Bachelors of Science from Northwestern University, magna cum laude. She was also a Zuckerman Fellow at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, from which she holds a Masters in Education Policy and Management.
