Mike Movsovich is a Senior M&A Partner in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he has practiced since 1992. Mr. Movsovich primarily serves as an advisor to private equity sponsors advising on complex mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, financings, fund formations and the sponsor's business operations. His practice touches a wide range of industries, including technology, business services, manufacturing, consumer, industrials, aerospace, healthcare, financial services and retail. During his Kirkland & Ellis career, Mike has also served in multiple operational, attorney recruiting, assessment and development and finance oriented roles, including: Chairman, Recruiting Committee; Chairman, Associate Review Committee; Chairman, Associates Committee; Vice-Chairman, Billing & Collections Committee and Member, Nominating Committee. Mike’s pro bono clients include: the Tent Foundation; Aids Center of Queens County; Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund and New York Legal Assistance Group. He is a frequent lecturer, having taught the Private Equity Boot Camp at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and Legal Aspects of Private Equity at the Wharton School of Business, and often participates in and moderates Private Equity forums, including Thomson Reuters, Aon, Columbia Business School, Harvard Business School and NYU Stern School of Business. Mr. Movsovich graduated Summa Cum Laude from The College of New Jersey, School of Business, (where he now serves as a member of Board of Directors of The College of New Jersey Foundation), and Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania Law School (where he will serve as an Adjunct Professor of Law Spring 2018).
