Summary:

Examines the political, social, and psychological implications of school segregation and desegregation. Looks at the law as a tool for change and resistance to change. After the 1957 Supreme Court ruled against segregation in Brown vs Board of Education, public schools became the battleground. Includes: integration at Little Rocks Central High School; James Merediths entry into the University of Mississippi; and various leaders of the integration movement.
