Summary:

Archival footage shot at the Westerbork transit camp in the Netherlands for Jews waiting for transportation to "the East" during WWII. The film documents how well they were treated, but these positive images are constantly interrogated by the use of titles. The vision of camp inmates peacefully boarding trains is intercut with titles asking: Do they know where they are going?
