Prior to becoming CEO of Court TV, Schleiff was executive vice president for Studios USA, where he oversaw the production of its various issue-related talk shows, including its newest entry, The Maury Povich Show. Previously, Schleiff served as the New York-based senior production executive for Studios USAs predecessor, Universal Television Group, which he joined in 1996. From 1987 to 1992, Schleiff was senior vice president of Viacom International Inc. and chairman and CEO of Viacoms Broadcast and Entertainment Groups. Before that, he had been senior vice president of Business Affairs and Administration for Home Box Office and head of HBO Enterprises from 1981 to 1987. Schleiff received a B.A. degree (cum laude) from the University of Pennsylvania in 1970 and, in 1973, a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, where he was editor of the Law Review.
