    About The Center on Professionalism

    Penn Law’s Center on Professionalism responds to evolving trends in the legal market and offers original programming that focuses directly on the skills legal employers seek in today’s law graduates.  Through general professionalism programming, targeted skill development workshops and a series of practice skills exploration opportunities, COP supports your professional development from the beginning of 1L year through graduation and beyond.  COP programming compliments doctrinal, clinical, and Legal Practice Skills education, and prepares students to enter the profession as skilled attorneys who are ready to provide exceptional client service from day one.

    This event is by invitation only.

    Penn Law alumni will meet and welcome the newest members of the Penn Law community, the incoming class of 2022, during Penn Law’s annual Professionalism Day Networking Reception on Monday, September 23rd, 2019.

    They will share experiences and lessons learned with our newest Penn Law students. The reception, which will include cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, will begin at 5:15 p.m. at the Law School.

    Join Center on Professionalism for the final session of the year for the Certificate in Technology.

    Working effectively with PDF documents, is a major part of any developing lawyer’s work and is critical in  electronic filing, retrieval, and publishing of legal documents. Effective use of PDFs can help reduce lawyers become more organized and efficient.   In this hands-on workshop, learn how to view, create, edit, combine, bates number, redact and run other commands using Adobe Acrobat software.

    You will learn how to:

    • Create PDF documents from different sources; export PDFs
    • Edit, organize and manipulate a PDF document
    • Combine documents into one PDF; create portfolios
