Networking & Relationship Building

At a time when lawyers move from one job to the next, networking skills are more important than ever to build a successful career. A variety of opportunities to hone these skills include the Center on Professionalism’s speed networking program.

Speed Networking

The Speed Networking Program matches practicing attorneys with Penn Law students to engage in networking in two different ways: a speed networking round, which allows students to interact with a variety of practitioners and alumni in a fast-paced, one-on-one format; and a reception where you can continue networking with practitioners and alumni.

Mock Interview Program

The Mock Interview Program is a Penn Law tradition that allows each 1L participant the opportunity to practice interview skills and receive feedback in a supportive environment. Lawyers representing a wide range of practice areas and settings conduct individual mock interviews lasting from 15 to 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of critique. The lawyers, who are mainly Penn Law alumni, provide feedback that students find invaluable in developing and improving their interviewing skills and continuing their professional self-awareness.
