Client Development & Marketing

To make Penn Law Students standouts in their first jobs and throughout their careers, programming through the Center on Professionalism teaches them to understand the business of practicing law and the new forces shaping the market for legal services.

Client Development Boot Camp

Whether you intend to practice with a law firm, seek funding for work in a non-profit, or capitalize on your contacts when building a government career, you will want to know how to build and maintain a network of people with confidence in your skills. This program will provide students with an understanding of the practical client development, client service and leadership skills needed to thrive. This two-day program will have content delivery and will end with an exercise designed to expand your thinking about contacts right here in our backyard: other graduate and professional students at the University of Pennsylvania.

Client Leverage and Law Firm Management

Students interested in working a law firm who take this semester-long seminar concentrate on the practice of law as a business and how that reality affects a new lawyer. The course provides students with a better understanding of law firm structure, the business demands of clients, and how their approach to their work must adjust in light of those demands.
