Biddle Law Library: A Quick Refresher

Spring term is almost upon us! For those students who made New Year's resolutions to spend more time studying in the library (alway a noble goal), here is a quick review of some important library features:

The Circulation Desk:

Want to check out a book? Looking for course reserve materials? Needing a key to a study room? Desperate for a charger for your laptop? You can solve all of these problems at the circulation desk, which is right next to the library exit.

The Reference Desk:

Having difficulty doing research for a seminar paper? Searching for a book? Afraid of the microfiche reader? Wondering where the bathrooms are? Come here if you have questions about research or where to find something. The reference librarians are here to help you! And if you are out of the library, feel free to use chat or email

For those of you with questions about foreign and international materials, the Foreign Reference area is locate on the far west side of the fourth floor. You may also contact our Foreign and International Law Librarian, Gabriela Femenia, who is happy to work with students with non-domestic research questions!

Computer Lab:

A computer lab is located to the left of the library entrance. There you can also find some printers and the Bloomberg terminal. If you have trouble with printers or something else tech-related, you can find the ITS office to the west of the Reference Desk or contact them via phone or email

Bloomberg/Lexis/Westlaw:

Vendor representatives and information can be found in the room just south of the computer lab, which also contains microfilm and microfiche materials. This is also where the Lexis Printers and Westlaw charging station are located.

Classrooms:

T-320, T-345 and T-253 are all located in Biddle Law Library. T-320 and T-345 can be found one floor up, on either side of the stairs. T-253 is also known as the Rare Book Room; to find it from the entrance, head to the northeast corner of the main floor, take a right down the short hallway, and it will be on your left. Or just ask a librarian!

Study Space:

Biddle has a variety of study spaces! Check out our Where Do I Study? post for more information.
