The Spirit of the Law--Skeel

This short review offers a few thoughts on The Spirit of the Law, a new book on the church-state battles over the past century.  The book is a fascinating, in depth historical study of six of the sometimes quirky groups behind the cases.

Thanks for reviewing this book. It is very interesting and helpful to see the arguments for the Establishment clause in history. The issue is still very much alive even though court cases have made great progress in establishing some of the fundamental issues. I plan on getting this book.
