PLES Alumni Visit Philly from Europe
This spring over 40 LLM alumni (from GL’78 through GL’10) and their guests came back to Penn Law from France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Norway, Portugal, England, Italy, Ireland, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Italy, Germany (and the U.S.).
From May 9-12, they returned to the Law School for the Penn Law European Society’s (PLES) annual summer weekend together. These LLM alumni enjoyed many of their own activities while also participating in some of the Reunion parties and panels, including the Gala Dinner at the Philadelphia Art Museum. From a welcome cocktail party at the Pyramid Club to breakfast at Reading Terminal Market and Mural Arts, Barnes Foundation and National Constitution Center tours to a good-bye luncheon at the London Grill, they reacquainted themselves with each other and the school and city that had been their home as LLMs. This year they decided to cross the Atlantic and visit Philadelphia.
All alumni in Europe are invited each year to the PLES June weekend in various European cities. Organized by the alumni living in that city, Vienna, Oxford, Prague and Bologna have been recent host cities with the first one held in Dublin in 1994. Next year’s is June 27-29, 2014, in Edinburgh, Scotland. Contact Corey Fulton L’07 at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
