Hello, I'm Wendell Pritchett. It is my privilege to serve as the interim dean of Penn Law for this academic year. I returned to the Law School this summer after a five-year absence leading another local university. With the start of school, I am reminded of the energy of the students, the brilliance of the faculty and the dedication of the staff. This is a special place.

Although there have been many changes since I left, some things never change: our core commitments to cross-disciplinary education and our devotion to the ideals of public service – a devotion that will be on full display as we celebrate this year the 25th anniversary of the public service program. I appreciate the opportunity to lead this great institution, and I am very happy to be back. I am also happy to share with you this Back to School Edition of The Jurist newsletter, our effort to keep you up to date on developments at the Law School. I hope to meet many of you during my travels or at the Law School. Please feel free to visit.
