María M. Pabón-López L'89, New Orleans City Business's 2013 Woman of the Year

López, the Dean of Loyola University New Orleans College of Law,has been honored as a 2013 Woman of the Year, an honor given by New Orleans CityBusiness in recognition of women "whose successes in business and contributions to the community have made them movers and shakers in the region."

Prior to becoming Dean of the College of Law in 2011, López was a Professor of Law at Indiana University School of Law. During her time there, she was also a member of the Indiana Board of Law Examiners and was elected to the American Law Institute. She is the recipient of the 2011 César Chávez Sigueme Award from the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis's Latino Student Association, the 2008 Diversity Attorney in Practice Award from the Indiana Lawyer and the 2007 Rabb Emison Diversity Award from the Indiana State Bar Association. She received her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1989 and her bachelor's degree from Princeton University in 1985.

Betsy Brubaker McGill L'95

McGill has been promoted to Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Comcast-Spectacor, the Philadelphia-based sports and entertainment company. She continues to focus on human resources and employment-related matters for all the Comcast-Spectacor companies.

Elizabeth Seyle Fenton L'98

Fenton, a Shareholder at the Philadelphia law firm of Chamberlain, Hrdlicka, was reappointed the Co-Chair of the Business Litigation and Competition Law Committee for the American Bar Association Section of Litigation.

Gail P. Granoff, L'76

Granoff, a Founder and Principal of Reaching Agreement ADR LLC, was elected Treasurer of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute in Mechanicsburg, PA.

NAWL CLE Event (9/20/13 – Philadelphia):

The Kilgore Society is proud to be a co-sponsor of the National Association of Women Lawyers's upcoming CLE Program "P2P: The Pipeline to Equity Partnership"
This program explores the skills, strategies, and stumbling blocks women lawyers encounter on their path to reaching equity status, and is targeted to women lawyers on the brink of equity partnership at their law firms (or who will be in the near future).

The event takes place from 8:00am – 4:00pm at the Hotel Monaco in Philadelphia, PA.
