Khary Anderson
L’19 SPP’19
Khary is currently an associate in the commercial litigation group at Venable LLP. While attending Penn Carey Law, he also received his Master of Science in Social Policy from Penn’s School of Social Policy & Practice. At Penn, Khary was a member of the Black Law Students Association, the Journal of Constitutional Law, Walk-in Legal Assistance, and the Moot Court Board. He currently lives in Washington, DC, and looks forward to connecting with Penn Carey Law alumni in the area.

Craig Castiglia
L’17
Craig is a 2017 graduate of Penn Carey Law and holds bachelor’s degrees from Penn State University. After graduating from Penn Carey Law, Craig clerked for the Honorable Berle M. Schiller of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He currently practices as a litigation associate in Dechert LLP’s Philadelphia office.

Wai L. Choy
L’12
Wai is a technology, media and privacy corporate attorney at Proskauer Rose LLP in New York. While at Penn Carey Law, Wai was a Levy Scholar and served as Senior Editor of The University of Pennsylvania Law Review, Co-President of the Entertainment & Sports Law Society, Social Chair of APALSA and Class Rep on the Council of Student Representatives. He also played in the Penn Carey Law Bowling League throughout all three years of law school. Wai holds a B.F.A. in Film & Television Production from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and worked as a film actor and filmmaker prior to law school. He is grateful for his connection to Penn Carey Law and is looking forward to helping to bring the alumni community together.

Kevin P. Dermody
L’16
Kevin is Corporate Counsel for M&A and Securities at Penn National Gaming, Inc. Originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania, Kevin attended the University of Scranton prior to Penn Carey Law. During law school, Kevin served as the President of the Penn Carey Law Class of 2016, and was the Development Editor for the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Constitutional Law. He was chosen as the student commencement speaker for the Class of 2016 graduation. Kevin was also involved with the Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic, the Penn Carey Law Basketball League, the Wharton Basketball League, and the Flag Football League. Kevin continues in his role as Class President in an alumni capacity and currently serves on the Penn Carey Law Alumni Board of Managers.

Peter Fishkind
L’17
Peter is currently an associate in the Litigation Department at Proskauer Rose in New York. At Penn, Peter served as the President of the Council of Student Representatives, led the Street Law Pro Bono Project, and served as a Class Officer. He now lives in Great Neck, New York on Long Island, about a 15-minute drive from where he grew up. On Long Island, he is involved with Democratic Party politics and serves as a member of the Nassau County Democratic Party Committee. In New York more broadly, a number of Peter’s activities involve young Jewish life. He is a member of the AIPAC New York Young Leadership Council, an active member in the itrek alumni leader network and volunteers with a group operating in the New York Metro Area that works to train Jews in self-defense to combat the local rise in hate crimes. Above all else, he desperately misses Penn Carey Law intramural basketball and wishes he could coordinate a regular pick up game with enough of his law school buddies. Penn Carey Law was a meaningful part of his life and he couldn’t be happier to have a way to stay connected to the institution.
Nicholas Hall
L’18
Nicholas lives in Washington DC where he practices law through the Department of Labor Honors Program. Previously, Nick clerked for Magistrate Judge Robin M. Meriweather on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. While at Penn Carey Law, Nick was selected as a Toll Public Interest Scholar, President of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA), Managing Editor of the Journal of Constitutional Law, and was a Graduate Assistant at New College House. Nick is excited to serve as a GOLD Ambassador because ensuring that talented students and faculty from all backgrounds have opportunities at Penn Carey Law is essential and is made possible through the support and guidance of alumni. In addition, through this role, Nick looks forward to not only promoting diversity, but also helping Penn Carey Law to set an example of inclusion for faculty, students, alumni, and the broader legal community. Plus, he’s really excited to reconnect with old friends and develop new relationships with alumni!

Martha Hanna
L’17
Martha is a litigation attorney at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Philadelphia. Previously, Martha served as a law clerk to Judge Paul S. Diamond of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and Judge Anthony J. Scirica of the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. While at Penn Carey Law, Martha was a member of the Youth Advocacy Project, Equal Justice Foundation, Law Review, and the Moot Court Board. She is very excited to see classmates and other alumni through GOLD events!

Cynthia Lam
L’18, WG’18
Cynthia is a corporate attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in New York. Outside of work, she serves as Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Committee for the Asian American Bar Association of New York, Advisory Board member for Answer (a national health education nonprofit), and an elementary school volunteer for Apex for Youth. A Levy Scholar and Wharton Fellow, Cynthia graduated from the three-year JD/MBA program at Penn Carey Law and Wharton in 2018. While at Penn, Cynthia served as Co-President of the JD/MBA Association, Social Chair of APALSA, Senior Editor of Law Review, Lipman Fellow, Wharton Admissions Fellow, and 2018 Fight Night Emcee. She received her BA in English and BS in Business Administration from Washington and Lee University as a Johnson Scholar in 2015. Cynthia is grateful to Penn Carey Law for all the wonderful opportunities, memories, and lifelong friends, and she looks forward to giving back to the community in the continuing spirit of collegiality.

Remy Nshimiyimana
LPS’08, L’11
Remy is a transactional corporate lawyer. As Counsel at Philadelphia-based Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, he advises clients on corporate and securities matters, including mergers and acquisitions, securities laws compliance, corporate governance, and commercial contracts. A significant part of his practice involves international corporate transactions. At Penn Carey Law, Remy was a member of BLSA and served as an editor on the Journal of International Law. He spent his 3L in Paris in Penn Carey Law’s JD/Master in Economic Law joint degree with the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris and the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Remy very much appreciates the tremendous value of a Penn Carey Law education and has fond memories of his time at the school and the friends he met there. He stays engaged to remain connected with the alum network and bring his modest contribution to helping this community stay strong and active, especially in the Greater Philadelphia area.

John Parron
L’17
John graduated from Penn Carey Law in 2017 and the University of Hawai’i in 2012. During law school, he served as president of the boxing club and auction co-chair for the Equal Justice Foundation. Since graduating, John spent two years in the Law Division at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office and is currently clerking for a judge on the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is an active member of the Inn of Court and competes in the local lawyer’s basketball league.

Silki Patel
L’14
Silki is a Senior Associate in the Consumer Financial Services practice group of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP. Based in Washington, DC, Silki counsels financial institutions and FinTech companies on supervision, enforcement, and litigation matters and related regulatory issues. She began her career as an Associate Counsel at JPMorgan Chase in New York. Silki graduated from Penn Carey Law in 2014. While at Penn, Silki served as a Co-Chair for Career and Professionalism with the Penn Carey Law Women’s Association. She looks forward to serving the broader Penn Carey Law Alumni community as a GOLD Ambassador.

Gabrielle Simon
L’15
Gabrielle is an Associate at Kilpatrick, Townsend and Stockton in New York City where her practice focuses on domestic and international trademark counseling and portfolio management. During law school, Gabrielle participated in the Detkin Intellectual Property and Technology Legal Clinic, the Committee on Manufacturer Responsibility and the Intellectual Property LawMeet. She was also a Senior Editor for the Journal of Business Law. As a double Penn graduate with much Penn pride, Gabrielle is excited to serve as a Gold Ambassador with the hopes of sharing her Penn enthusiasm with others and to help foster continued relationships among classmates.
Ben Sirolly
L’13
Ben is an associate at MoloLamken, LLP, where he litigates disputes at trial and on appeal. Ben’s practice focuses on intellectual property disputes and complex commercial litigation. Prior to joining MoloLamken, Ben served as a law clerk to the Honorable Kara F. Stoll of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He was also an associate at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP, a global intellectual property law firm. Before law school, Ben taught high school physics, chemistry, and physical science in Halifax County, North Carolina, as a member of Teach for America. He also taught high school physics at Mastery Charter School, Shoemaker Campus, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Shelby Stanton
L’18
Shelby is a corporate attorney at Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP in New York. During law school, Shelby served as the President of the Class of 2018 and she was an active member of the ski club and the council of Class Student Representatives. Shelby also served as a senior editor of the Journal of Constitutional Law. One highlight of her Penn Carey Law experience was interning at the Securities & Exchange Commission’s Philadelphia office. As a GOLD Ambassador, Shelby hopes to reconnect with the incredible Penn Carey Law community and create more opportunities for future Penn Carey Law students and alumni.
