We are pleased to share the list of alumni and friends who supported the Law School in Fiscal Year 2022 (July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2022).
On Monday, May 15, the Law School recognized the Class of 2023 graduates during a commencement ceremony at the American Academy of Music in Philadelphia. This year, 248 students received JDs, 104 students from over 30 countries received LLMs, one student received an LLCM, two students earned an SJD, and 37 received a Master in Law (ML) degree.
At this year’s Graduate Student Leadership Awards Ceremony, the University recognized Keshara Senanayake L’23 with the “President & Provost’s Honor for Developing New Initiatives in Graduate & Professional Student Life” for his work creating a fund to support graduate students taking on unpaid or underpaid internships, removing a barrier that has historically prevented students from pursuing career building opportunities.
Annual gifts provide critical support to bolster our robust financial aid and scholarship programs. It allows us to open the doors of our institution to the highest-achieving students of all backgrounds, improving pathways to the profession for talented students, as well as providing funding for fellowships, internships, research, and other academic experiences that give our students the flexibility to pursue their interests.
Beyond the Classroom
Experiential learning remains a core feature of the Law School’s curriculum. Funding from alumni and friends allows our students to take advantage of numerous training opportunities, deepening their understanding of the law while honing their skills in a practical setting. Donor support also supports wellness initiatives and extracurricular programming like our renowned journals that improve student life while equipping them with the tools they need for career-long success.
