Knoll’s research is an example of the creative thinking at
Penn Law’s Center for Tax Law and Policy. One of the preeminent
institutes of its kind, the Center brings together the many
prominent Penn scholars who study the design and operation of
tax and transfer systems.
Scholars focus on pressing issues of fiscal policy, with close
attention to the implications for economic growth and efficiency,
socioeconomic inequality, and the cost-effective administration
of programs and rules. The Center’s multidisciplinary approach
draws from areas as diverse as legal studies, economics, finance,
psychology, and philosophy.
