Beatrice M. (Trixie) Schaffrath Lí98, following a two-year clerkship with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in Chicago, joined the Hong Kong office of Baker & McKenzie as an associate in its China Practice Group. Amy Maldonado Tehuano Lí98 practices immigration law with Robert A. Perkins & Associates PC in Chicago. She formerly practiced as a litigator and an immigration attorney with Arnstein & Lehr in Chicago. She and her husband welcomed their first child, a daughter, this year.

Newcombe Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship for her proposed dissertation entitled ďContradiction, Coherence, and Guided Discretion in the Supreme Courtís Capital Sentencing Jurisprudence.Ē The Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation awards the fellowships in support of original and significant study of ethical or religious values in all fields of the humanities and social sciences.
