10 Years of the Master in Law Program

ML 10th Anniversary

Since its establishment in 2014, the Master in Law (ML) Program has educated emerging and accomplished professionals from a wide range of fields and areas of expertise in the law and legal foundations of their disciplines.

In 2014, the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School embarked on a pioneering journey, transforming the landscape of legal education with the introduction of the Master in Law (ML) degree, a visionary program tailored for professionals outside of the legal field. The launch of the ML Program marked a continued commitment to innovation and cross-disciplinary education, setting it apart as one of the first top-ranked law schools to provide such legal education.

Tailored for busy professionals and graduate students, Penn Carey Law’s ML program blends relevance with flexibility, aligning with the demanding schedules of its diverse candidates. A hallmark of the program is the integration of JD coursework, a feature that not only sets the Penn Carey Law ML Program apart but also enriches the learning community at Penn Carey Law. This approach, envisioned by the early programmatic design team, exemplifies the program’s commitment to innovative, inclusive, and impactful legal education. As the ML Program celebrates its tenth anniversary, it honors and recognizes the boundless possibilities of ML students and alumni to make a transformative impact in their respective communities and industries. Join the ML Program in celebrating this tremendous milestone.
