Director, Master in Law Program
Catharine Restrepo is the Director of the Master in Law program. In that capacity she works with current and prospective Master in Law degree candidates, Certificate in Law candidates and Penn students and staff seeking to take a class or more at Penn Law.
Catharine returned to Penn Law after many years practicing law, primarily in business, finance and tax representation. Upon graduating from Penn Law in 1993 she was an associate in the Business and Finance group at Ballard Spahr in Philadelphia. After several years Catharine began a series of clerkships in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, clerking for Judge Sandra Mazur Moss and Judge Eugene Edw. J. Maier. Catharine then became an associate with the tax specialty firm Birns & Goff PC in Philadelphia. She later joined the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania where she stayed until returning to Penn Law to help launch the Master in Law program in January 2014.
Catharine is a native of Philadelphia and currently resides with her family in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania.
