Silverman Classroom Renovation Project
In May of 2019, Penn Law will undertake an extensive renovation of three classrooms in Silverman Hall (S-240A, 240B, and 245A).
These beautiful rooms will be restored and developed to provide excellent teaching and learning spaces for Penn Law faculty and students.
We will keep the community updated about the project via this site, so please visit often.
After receiving interest from several architectural firms, the University of Pennsylvania and the Penn Law Building Committee selected Voith and Mactavish Architects to design and complete the renovation of these important rooms. This presentation outlines the basic plans for the rooms.
Penn Law’s premier building at 34th between Chestnut and Sansom Streets, designed by the famed architects Cope and Stewardson and opened at the turn of the 20th century, has a storied history. Professor Sarah Barringer Gordon describes that history
