Do tax policies favorable to Toyota, Honda and other foreign-owned companies doing business in the United States contribute to or detract from American competitiveness? The answer depends on how you define competiveness, according to Michael S. Knoll, whose recent article on “The Connection between Competitiveness and International Taxation” in Tax Law Review helps clarify a hot-button policy debate.
