JD/MBA students come to Penn from a variety of backgrounds, including consulting, investment management, financial services, public interest and government.
Many seek to go back into their former industries with an enhanced skill set the degree affords them, while others use the degree to switch careers. JD/MBA students use the summer between their second and third years of the program to work at either law firms or corporations, or often times both by splitting their summers.
The industries that JD/MBA students seek to enter after graduation range greatly, as the degree offers flexibility in career options that is unique to the JD/MBA, such as:
