Mr. Feldman is also the Chief Tax Counsel for 40 North Management, an investment platform focused on public equities that is a related investment business of Standard. Mr. Feldman also oversees the tax and structuring aspects of Standard’s solar energy financing business. Prior to joining Standard, Mr. Feldman was a Managing Director in Structured Capital Markets at Barclays Capital, where he designed and marketed enhanced investment alternatives and tax-efficient acquisition and financing structures for multi-national enterprises. Previously, Mr. Feldman also worked as a Managing Director in Credit Suisse’s North American Structuring Group and as a Vice President at Zurich Capital Markets. Mr. Feldman began his professional legal career as an Associate Attorney in the Tax Department of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. Mr. Feldman earned his J.D., summa cum laude, in 1992 from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he was a Special Projects Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review and a Barenkopf Scholar, and received his B.A., magna cum laude, in Linguistics from Temple University. Following his graduation from Penn Law, he served as a law clerk first to the Honorable J. Clifford Wallace, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and then to the Honorable Antonin Scalia, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Feldman is exceedingly fortunate to be married to Efua Ofeibea Feldman, a Ghanaian immigrant to the United States who earned her B.A. with Honors from Stanford University and her J.D. from New York University School of Law and then practiced for several years as a securities lawyer in New York City, most recently with Milbank LLP. Mrs. Feldman now serves as an Assistant Director in the Office of Career Services at NYU Law. Outside of their professional careers, Efua and Lou have long been active supporters of and participants in organizations and NGOs committed to building racial equity in the Unites States and encouraging diasporic investment in rural Ghana. Efua and Lou remain otherwise occupied with the academic, artistic, and athletic pursuits of their sons Gideon Osagyefo and Gilad Nkunim. The eldest of Mr. Feldman’s four sons, Zachary, 2019 magna cum laude graduate of Penn Law, is also a tax lawyer practicing in New York City, and his second son, Jedidiah, is a photographer living in Chicago.
