Sam Lim (they/them/theirs) is the Associate Director for Equity & Inclusion for E&I at Penn Carey Law School. Prior to joining Penn, Sam led LGBTQIA+ and multicultural programs at Salem State University. Active in their local community, they are the inaugural Senior Diversity Officer for the North Shore Pride Board of Directors and an Appointee to the City of Salem, MA Mayor’s Scholarship & Education Committee, Cultural Council, and Human Rights Coalition, of which they are a former founding Co-Chair. Nationally, Sam serves as a member of Teach For America’s National Prism Advisory Board, supporting the oversight of TFA’s LGBTQ+ support and advocacy strategy. Originally from Syracuse, NY, Sam holds a M.Ed. in Higher Education in Student Affairs from Salem State University and a B.A. in Languages & Literatures, concentration in French linguistics and cultural studies, from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
